It’s time for our eighth issue. We want to drop some tidbits of pay as you go marketing with Jellop, Pebble pre-sales, and some innovative approaches to your next product concept. So let’s get started…

1) Pay as they perform digital marketing?:

Yes, it exists, and there are a handful of agencies specialized in the Kickstarter / Indiegogo community. As a disclosure, we work with a handful of them, but we are really liking the current success that Jellop has had with Knocki and Pebble campaigns. Let us know if you want an introduction to the founders of Jellop. >>

2) Do we really need another one…?:

Pebble is using it’s Kickstarter marketing machine to drive tremendous pre-sales of it’s latest releases. It’s no Apple launch, but it sure has crowdfunding dialed in for a product release. $8 million USD in sales in the first two days, not too shabby. >>

3) Are you ready for crowdfunding?:

We have passed along some useful links to Kickstarter and Indiegogo published guides to getting a campaign kicked off, but we still get a number of inquiries telling us they want to go live in a month without any prep work. It’s a marathon folks, and in any marathon, you need to put the first foot forward to get to 42.1km… In this case, that first step is sending an email to to see how we can help you. >>

4)  Taking a closer look at the most funded:

The most-funded campaigns on Kickstarter can offer you some good insights into what makes a great campaign, but more importantly, if you use this page with the Kickstarter Community tool, you will get some awesome insights into the backer community too. Get your research on. >>

5) Reading, and doing it back on Kindle this week:

We recently picked up a NY Times bestseller by Jan Chipchase, a regular speaker, and blogger in the start-up and tech scene. Chipchase makes some bold claims worth hearing out in “Hidden in Plan Sight: How to Create Extraordinary Products for Tomorrow’s Customers”. Have a look for it in the Kindle Store. >>

High five…it’s Friday, get home and enjoy the weekend!
