About Dr. Emmanuel Monod, PhD

Dr Emmanuel Monod, Ph.D., is a professor at the University of Paris 9 Dauphine and visiting professor at Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA. He has previously held management positions during 10 years in IBM (in France and in the USA), in France Telecom (Orange) and at the French Company of External Trade (COFACE), depending on the French Ministry of Finance.

He published research on e-commerce, social media, new multimedia technologies, change management, information systems and e-tourism in academic journals such as Information Systems Journal (ISJ), European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS), European Journal of Management (EJM) and Information and Organization during 20 years in Europe and in the USA

He was vice-president of the AIS (Association for Information Systems), Atlanta, USA and track chair during 15 years at the Americas Conference in Information Systems and during 5 years at the Academy of Management in the USA.

At the University of Paris 9 Dauphine, he created the DBA (Doctorate of Business Administration) and the dual Ph.D. degree with Georgia State University (USA). He developed 3 of these programs in China in partnership with Shanghai Jiaotong University and Tsinghua University (Beijing).

He is currently board member of the management education division of the Academy of Management, track chair for the Americas Conference in Information Systems 2016, San Diego, California (USA), and session chair for the conference of the Academy of Management 2016 in Anaheim, Los Angeles, California (USA).
