After signing off a wonderful edition in 2016 the French Tech will once again reunite with the CES Asia from June 7th to 9th 2017, with the impulse of Shanghai as a tech hub and multiple other French Tech communities in China.
“For this new edition, we have planned to increase the number of French startups within the French Tech pavilion. Last year, this space gave them significant value added and allowed them to establish important business connections. It is with great excitement that we are expecting the next French Tech pavilion.”
— Stéphane Monsallier, Co-Founder of La French Tech Hub Shanghai
The French Tech pavilion positioned itself as an essential part of the CES Asia 2016 with its 17 exhibitors, a dedicated area for virtual reality, and extensive media coverage of the official inauguration attended by Gary Shapiro director of the Consumer Technology Association and Axel Cruau General Consul of France in Shanghai. It was a success that French startups will renew this year with the support of the French Tech Hub Shanghai. 25 startups are expected to attend this year’s edition of the CES Asia. They will represent all the different product categories showcased at the CES Asia such as virtual reality, IoT, med techs among others.
Launched in August 2015 and certified in October 2016, the ambition of the French Tech Hub Shanghai is to offer visibility for actors of French innovation and new technologies. Recently, it has gotten closer to other hubs in China to further create synergy amongst various French Tech communities in Asia and thus reinforce sharing and interactions.
The ambition is to spark the development of a network which favors growth and increases the reputation of French startups internationally, as well as to facilitate the relationships between French startups and local partners.
To achieve this aim, the French Tech hubs in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Shenzhen will all participate in the CES Asia 2017 edition in order to unite skills, favor French companies’ dynamism and showcase latest innovations. The French Tech pavilion will thus be a privileged space within the Startup Park and will gather the most innovative French startups in the domains of technologies intended for the general public.
A dedicated press area will allow exhibitors to present their innovations to journalists and conference rooms will be available to facilitate meetings amongst partners, clients or investors. Finally, networking events will take place to further extend their network. More than 35 000 visitors are expected this year, among them CEOs of the most influential High-Tech companies in the world, public opinion leaders, and Chinese government officials.
A team of volunteers is entirely dedicated to startups willing to participate in the French Tech pavilion. The team is there to help them every step of the way and to ensure strong media coverage.
